JV - Summer Championship FAQs

Thank you for your incredible energy and enthusiasm as we launch the JV Summer Championship!

This FAQ page is here to provide clarity and support throughout the programme.

Below you will find answers to common questions about how the championship works, how we are ensuring fairness across different Jamatkhanas, how Juniors will be recognised, and how points can be awarded.

We truly value your feedback and have created a platform for you all to share thoughts through this Summer. Click here to access the form.

Our goal is to make this a fun, inclusive, and motivating experience for every Junior Volunteer across the country.

Jamatkhanas have been grouped into two leagues:

  • League  – Jamatkhanas open every day
  • League Jamatkhanas that are not open daily.

In each Jamatkhana there will be three winning Junior Volunteers. Furthermore, there will be a winning Jamatkhana in both League I and League V

Scores for each Jamatkhana will be calculated using the average (mean) points per Junior Volunteer. This approach ensures that all Jamatkhanas, regardless of size have an equal chance of ranking highly.

Example:

  • JK 1 earns 500 points with 10 Juniors = Score of 50

  • JK 2 earns 250 points with 5 Juniors = Score of 50

Scoreboards for each Jamatkhana will be shared regularly on the JVTL Whatsapp group throughout the championship. These will highlight top-performing Junior Volunteers, and you are encouraged to share them with the Juniors as positive reinforcement.

Team Leaders and Directors are authorised to issue points by logging duties through the IIUK tool.

Please ensure the confidentiality agreement is signed on IIUK in order to gain access.

If you are still not able to access the tool, please submit your query using the form above.

Children under the age of 13 are considered Junior Volunteers.

There is no minimum age to join as a Junior Volunteer; however, for safety reasons, children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible family member while serving.

Apart from inside the Jamatkhanas, JVs can also earn points through service outside the Jamatkhana environment. Examples include:

  • Supporting local charities

  • Participating in litter picks

  • Volunteering with Ismaili CIVIC initiatives

This allows for greater flexibility while still contributing meaningfully.

We understand that not every Junior Volunteer will be able to attend Jamatkhana daily or participate throughout the entire championship.

Our aim is to support each participant’s circumstances while ensuring consistency and fairness in how points and recognition are awarded

Yes – all Junior Volunteers who take part in the championship will be awarded a participation certificate. In addition, we will offer special recognition to those who demonstrate outstanding commitment and service over the summer.

Of course, we encourage all Junior Volunteers to perform duties and have fun while being rewarded with points. However, they will receive extra points for wearing full uniform!
