About IV
The Ismaili Volunteers (IV) are a dedicated to uphold the values of discipline, compassion, and unity. Guided by the principles of voluntary service(Khidma), integrity, and humility, IV plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Jamatkhana ceremonies, national programs, yoyuth development, civic and special events.
The Ismaili Volunteers continue to evolve, embracing innovation and leadership training to serve the community with excellence and adaptability in today’s dynamic world.
These guidelines are framed to comply with Hazar Imam’s guidance to update and contemporise the IV structure in a manner that respects the Jamat’s legacy, spirit, and tradition of voluntary service, provides consistency and clarity, and strengthens the operational capacity of the IV organisation worldwide.
The approved term, “Ismaili Volunteers“, conforms with the objective of highlighting the identity of this institution as a faith-based civil society organisation with a cherished history and legacy.
The approved motto, khidma, (Arabic for “service”) expresses the core values of Ismaili volunteers. This serves to strengthen adherence to the commitment shared by Ismaili volunteers across all jurisdictions, ages, cultures, and ethnicities to submit unconditional service to the Imam and Jamat.
